We are already doing that:
- We see climate protection as an opportunity and not as a disruptive factor
- We have been certified according to the ISO 14001 environmental management system since 2000.
- We attach great importance to the careful use of materials. Separating materials by type is a matter of course for us.
- We use products that are biodegradable or recyclable.
- We carefully select from controlled materials, dyes and auxiliary materials. We adhere to ecological certificates and guidelines such as REACH and Oeko-Tex,
- We are constantly optimising our energy efficiency. In 2011, for example, we established a combined heat and power plant with 30 kW of thermal and 15 kW of electrical power.
- We attach importance to environmentally friendly transport, storage and packaging, e.g. we use reusable pallet and storage systems.
- We minimise waste, e.g. by avoiding foil packaging whenever possible.
- We practice waste recycling by selectively returning waste to recycling processes.
- Electricity, gas and water come mainly from renewable sources.
- We regularly conduct staff training on sustainable awareness and action
- In the future
- We plan to use significantly more recycled raw materials in the near future
- A PV system with 170 kWp capacity is planned for mid-2023, which means a CO² saving of 1,182 tonnes p. a.
