KRALL+ROTH was commissioned to develop an exclusive, custom-made SHRINX fabric for Stefan Dietz’s D1 series.
The result is SHRINX 4970 — a sleek, airy, and minimalist textile with an almost futuristic look that uniquely blends design, function, and utility.
SHRINX 4970 captivates with its understated yet distinctive effect. Whether in the office, in the lounge, or as a bar stool - SHRINX 4970 and the D1 series impressively demonstrate that design and function are not limited by material or appearance.
The clear design language of the D1 series is minimalist, modern, and versatile without disrupting the design, making it a modern design classic. The sleek appearance is significantly enhanced by the chosen SHRINX fabric: It is self-supporting and enables a minimalist look without additional padding. This allows the pure design language to shine through, while the breathable fabric ensures high seating comfort.
SHRINX 4970 is not only available in black, white, and gray, but also enables a harmonious office design that is neither visually nor materially overwhelming. The airy SHRINX fabric is also suitable for embroidery: In collaboration with Kemmler and Wagner, SHRINX 4970 became the canvas and foundation for an embroidered design, which was presented in a limited edition at Orgatec 2022.
