The AYDA Lounge Chair combines traditional craft with a modern material to create an intriguing visual contrast.
Theheavy, sharp frame - inspired by ancient Egyptian furniture - contrasts with the tensioned, semi-transparent 4903 SHRINX textile, which forms an ergonomic curvature within the sharp outline.
With a well-crafted frame and a simple, tailored SHRINX textile, the seat and backrest can be mounted and replaced easily.
Once the loose textile is mounted in the frame, the 4903 SHRINX is heat-shrunk, forming a tensioned membrane that achieves the intended visual expression and an ergonomic seat and backrest.
The self-supporting, semi-transparent SHRINX textile brings this conceptual lounge chair to life.
