KRALL+ROTH’S SUSTAINABILITY CONCEPT IS BASED ON RESPONSIBILITY FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS: IT PURSUES GOALS AND TAKES STEPS AS FOLLOWS:
-
ISO 14001 environmental management system certification since 2000
-
Resource-friendly handling of materials by carrying out monofraction sorting and ensuring recycling capabilities
-
Using and manufacturing products that are biodegradable or can be recycled
-
Successively using recycled raw materials (work in progress)
-
Carefully selecting controlled and certified materials, dyes and ancillary materials and carry out production in compliance with REACH and ecological regulations like the Cradle-to-Cradle principle (certification was not continued) and the Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX ® 08.0.57988
-
Optimising energy efficiency and climate neutrality by fitting a cogeneration unit with 30 kW thermal and 15 kW electrical output in 2011 and planning a wind turbine with approx. 250 kw output
-
Using electricity, gas and water from primarily renewable sources
-
Eco-friendly transport, warehousing and packaging due to reusable pallets and warehousing systems and minimising waste by not using foil packaging in some cases
-
Using waste by specifically recycling it or returning it to the Dual System as practised in Germany
-
Training and encouraging staff to adopt a sustainability mindset
